H. Glenn Penny, Elizabeth Heineman, and Glenn Ehrstine. The banners were created in 2016 for a standing exhibit in the Old Capitol Museum of the University of Iowa. In 2017, the 100-year anniversary of the U.S. entry into World War I, the banners formed the basis of a traveling exhibit, hosted by over 50 communities throughout the State of Iowa.
